Welcome to St Mary and St John Church of England Primary School. Ours is a vibrant, inclusive, multi- cultural, two-form entry city school, in the heart of East Oxford, with around 415 children on roll. We hope this website gives you a feel of our school but please come and see for yourselves through a visit where I will welcome you, give you a tour and answer any questions.
Our school is unusual as our reception children (aged 4 – 5 years) are educated for one year on Hertford Street in Comper Foundation School. Children move to our Meadow Lane site when they are in year 1 (aged 5 – 6 years).
We benefit from a spacious site in a wonderful location. There is an abundance of greenery all around and yet it is only a short walk into Oxford City with its many cultural resources which enrich our curriculum.
We have had lots of refurbishment work recently including the creation of a stunning school library in the heart of the school along with bright and healthy toilet blocks ! We believe in looking after and developing mind, body and spirit !
We look forward to meeting you soon.
