Dear Parents and Carers of St Mary & St John,
We’ve packed a lot of joy into this last fortnight! Above is the latest edition of the school newsletter, but here’s a quick peek at what’s been going on:
- Year 2 have been growing watermelons and learning to build fires in Outdoor Learning.
- Year 6 met Neill Cameron and we all stocked up on new reads from the Roving Bookshop.
- Our Hockey Club smashed it at the Oxford Hawks Tournament.
- Year 4 served up tennis skills.
- Camp OUT Day
- John Willis led inclusive sports activities with KS2, proving that no one should be left on the bench.
Online Safety Tip:
iPads: more than just fun and games! This #WakeUpWednesday guide explores screen time habits, spending traps, and safety tips for parents and educators. Your quick guide to smarter iPad use.
Plus: We’ve got some fond farewells and fabulous new faces joining us in September — don’t miss the chance to meet them after Shuffle Up Day on Tuesday 8th July.
AND: The 2025-2026 calendar is now live! But please be aware, dates may change!
And don’t forget — our Summer Fair is TODAY until 6pm. Come along for fun, food and community cheer!
Thank you to everyone who filled out the Governor Survey. Our “You Said, We Did” summary is now live. If your feedback didn’t appear, please know it was still heard — we value every voice.
With best wishes,
Bex Stott & The St Mary & St John Team
