Dear St Mary & St John Parents and Carers,
As we reach the end of a wonderfully festive term, we wanted to share a short summary of some recent highlights and a few important reminders. Full details can be found in the newsletter linked above.
Newsletter highlights:
- Festive performances galore – BAARMY Bethlehem, class nativities and a fab Christingle celebration have filled the last weeks with music, reflection and celebration.
- Big Christmas Sing – our choir represented the school beautifully and received fantastic feedback.
- Christmas Dinner Day – a huge success thanks to our brilliant kitchen team and helpers.
- Whole-school theatre trips – a magical festive tradition enjoyed by all year groups.
- The Vine pupil magazine – the latest festive edition is out now, created by our talented Year 6 journalists.
- New Arts Blog – now live on the school website, celebrating creativity across the school.
Important reminders:
- Everyone is invited tomorrow to for some festive singing on the KS2 playground at 1:15pm.
- Monday 5th January – school will be closed for staff training, unless your child has a pre-booked place at our childcare day.
- We look forward to welcoming everyone back for the start of Term 3 at 8:35am on Tuesday 6th January.
If I don’t catch you on the gate tomorrow morning, I wish a very happy Hanukkah to all families who are celebrating, and a happy Christmas to everyone in our community. We hope the break brings you rest, joy and precious time together.
