Dear St Mary & St John Parents and Carers,
We have packed SO much into the last fortnight, we had to draw breath when collating it all into our newsletter! There is a lot to celebrate, so I hope you have time to put your feet up and enjoy a cool drink as you read about all that has been happening in school this term. We’ve had SATs, a Year 5 residential followed by a Year 6 residential and much, MUCH more!
Included in this edition of the newsletter
- Y6 SATs
- Residentials for Y5 and Y6
- Y1 Space Day
- Spaces in Reception for Sep 25
- Recruitment and staffing
- Key dates, including Sports Days, Camp Out Days and PTA Summer Events
This week’s #wakeupwednesday is all about what parents and educators need to know about Minecraft. Block out online risks in Minecraft. With millions of players chatting and creating – and interest rising again after April’s movie release – the guide helps parents and educators keep young gamers safe in this endlessly popular sandbox title.
Meaningful May continues with our Wellbeing Calendar. Today’s suggestion is to recall three things you have done that you are proud of. Maybe you could share yours as a family, and ask your children to name three things they are proud of?
School is closed next week for our Spring half term. We look forward to seeing you again on Tuesday 3rd June at 8:35am (unless of course you are booked in to our childcare day.)!
We hope you have a lovely half term,
Bex Stott & The St Mary & St John Team
