The week’s Activity

We will send home a paper copy of this booklet, for those who are in next week. Work hard on it and bring it into school in September for your new teacher!

In the meantime, this week for home learning is all about reflecting on the past year and looking ahead, with joy in our hearts and excited anticipation for what is to come in the year ahead.

You have all, (parents, families, carers included), worked so hard this year. We have faced extraordinary times and we have faced them together! We could feel sad about all we have lost; this for a moment is fine. However, we want to look forward and think about all we have learnt from this year and what we will take in to the next. Below is a PowerPoint for you to watch and think about with your family. Then, throughout the week, work on the booklet. Do a little each day and remember, this will be a useful tool in September, when we will all be back together. Include as much as you can for your new teacher and add in pictures if possible.  Good luck! xx

Creative Ideas

1.Think about the images in the book. Why do you think the illustrators have presented them in this way? Can you think of a dream that you’ve had that you would like to recreate? Use mixed medium to recreate that dream. Send any photographs in!

2. Think about the differences between the oceans and the rivers of our world. Create a floor size diagram which shows your ideas. Use words and pictures to make it clear.
