PLUS Base Aims and Philosophy
The aim of PLUS Base is to provide good quality after-school care for children in a safe, caring and stimulating play environment.
The scheme is based on mutual respect between all people involved, and respect for PLUS property. PLUS play workers and children expect respect and courtesy to be shown by everyone to everyone, regardless of race, origin, language, religion and physical or mental ability.
Sessions in PLUS Base
Currently between 26 and 63 children attend each day. The sessions are led by a qualified coordinator and one permanent, trained play worker, plus additional assistants as necessary.
PLUS Base costs £9.00 per session.
Children who come to PLUS Base regularly every week can attend one PLUS Club free of charge. Please speak to the school office to find out more about this.
The PLUS Base scheme is part of the activities of St Mary & St John CE Primary School and is run under the direction of the Headteacher and the school governors.
